This is for additional donations if you want to help a specific cause. We will automatically donate 1% of retreat income to the planet (reforestation by Maleku tribe) and 1% to the people (toward local school repairs and food insecurity).

Support Toji Indigenous Scholarships
For each of our Toji Origins Retreats we offer at least one scholarship to a young person from one of our indigenous communities here in Costa Rica. This program enriches all of the experiences and creates lasting bonds, memories, and learning for the Indigenous Scholar and for our growing village. Our first Indiegenous scholar was Taycomopchua, who is now creating a Maleku and permaculture learning center in his territory. We are so proud of Tayco and keep listening to see ways that we can continue to have programs that offer genuine reciprocity and integrate communities.

Só Cagrü Indigenous Boruca Women's Collective
Lourdes has become a part of our Toji family and her work to empowering women of the Boruca tribe is unmatched in terms of passion and persistence. Her collective, Só Cagrü, brings in women from challenging life circumstances, and teaches them traditional mask painting and offers them ownsership in their community garden. Lourdes is an inspiration for all of us who want find new ways to break old patterns and live in harmony with our villages and the land.

Local School Renovations
The Toji and Terraverde construction team are passionate about making sure the children of our greater community are safe and comfortable in the small schools of our rural towns. We offer labor and materials to our 3 local schools when they need roof repairs or other renovations.

Alma Vieja - Archaeological Preservation Project
The Brörán community and our brother Jorge Sibas have partnered with the national museum of Costa Rica, but still need lots of support to make the dream of this archaeological site, cultural immersion, and living museum become a reality. Your donation will go toward infrastructure, archaeological dig supplies, and housing of students and helpers. Please email us if you want to visit and help in person on this project.

Esterillos Beach Clean-ups
The TOJI team and other local land lovers come together to clean the beaches of Esterillos 1-2 times each year. This donation goes toward supplies and refreshments for these important community and ecological gatherings.

Maleku Tribe Reforestation Efforts
TOJI is the Maleku name for sun. The Maleku community is dedicated to reforestation after much of their virgin forests were dessimated by the extraction of rubberduring colonization. This donation goest toward their continued reforestation and educational programs.
